Todd Hulliberger was born with cystic fibrosis, a debilitating, terminal disease that causes mucus to clog the lungs making it very difficult to breath. The mucus causes lung infections, with each infection more damage and scar tissue is produced in the lungs. Over time the lungs become too scarred and damaged to work properly.
Todd is 30 years old and currently lives in Birch Run, MI with his wife Lisa and their two dogs Chase and Abe. Up until about a year ago Todd was the life of the party. Todd always enjoyed being active. Hunting, golfing, and playing cards were a few of his favorite things to do. But most of all Todd enjoys spending time with people. His family and friends have always been at the top of the list for Todd. He has never met someone young or old who wasn't a friend, he truly has a light about him when he interacts with people. You never forget him once you meet him.
Due to his advanced lung disease he has repeated infections. He went on oxygen full time last year which was very hard to accept due to his active lifestyle. Doing the things he enjoys have been difficult if not impossible.
Todd is currently #1 on the lung transplant list . Todd will need a double lung transplant to replace his diseased lungs. He is patiently waiting with gratitude for his new lungs and his new lease on life.
